Hi,
I’ve recently moved from publishing my apps using the old .apk straight to google play process to the new Android Studio bundles process. I develop apps using Unity and have absolutely no experience with android or running scripts in java or windows.
For the past week I have been stuck with the “Generating signed Bundle requires you to update the Android Gradle plugin to version 3.2.0 or higher”.
After many many hours looking for a solution and trying basically everything I’m still stuck with the same error.
I don’t know what to do here and I’m really stuck.
Things I’ve tried:
- Main update gradle docs both here and from the android developer sites.
- Easy Gradle plugin that updates it to 5.5 - error still persists.
- Other sites and suggestions
I fear that by going through all of the processes above I may have made unnecessary changes to the programme options. Is there a checklist with screenshot of the latest Android Studio that I could double check against?
Could you please help me solve my issues? This is delaying important updates to my apps.
I really don’t understand why this isn’t a straightforward process of Gradle just updating itself like literally every other programme post 2010. Especially since it appears as a critical step in publishing apps?
Would really appreciate your help as I’m truly lost in this new process and programme world.
Cheers,
G
