Gradle 1.0-rc-3 released

A third release candidate for Gradle 1.0 is now available, that addresses a serious issue with Groovy compilation that turned out to be only partially fixed in the second release candidate.

Download links can be found @ http://gradle.org/downloads, and as always please read the Release Notes and Migration Guide.

If no serious issues are discovered by our users, Gradle 1.0 final will follow this release in the next week. As such, we would very much appreciate you taking the time to try the RC on your projects and reporting any problems that you find here on the forums.

For more on the 1.0 and after process, please see this previous post.

Is there any new news regarding the 1.0 release? Just wondering where we are in the rc process, and what’s the current estimate for the 1.0 release date.

We haven’t found any blockers in rc-3, so we’ll release this as 1.0 in a few days.

How long is a few days? It seems a few have already come and gone…

The 1.0 release is very important to us, and we’ve been spending a lot of time working on our website, release notes, etc. This is the reason the final release has been delayed slightly.

The binary for 1.0 will be identical to 1.0-rc3: but stay tuned for the announcement very soon!
