Searching for Gradle docs in Google yields "old" versions first

When I search for “gradle copy task” in Google, the first result is at https://docs.gradle.org/3.3. Same for when I search for “gradle javadoc”

It would be much better if the top results were at https://docs.gradle.org/current. Quite often the “current” docs aren’t even on the first page of search results so I’ll click the “old” link and manually tweak the url in the address bar to “current”

I realise Google have their own secret sauce algorithm for ranking results but there are a few SEO tricks that could be done on gradle’s end to help bump the “current” docs up the rankings (eg old javadocs could link to current). I’m guessing there’s an option in sitemap.xml to tell crawlers that one page is a newer version of another too
