The plugin portal is nice right now, and it’s getting better. We’re going to get to a point in the very near future where there may be multiple plugins implementing the same feature set. When I do a search and get a long list of matching plugins, I’m going to want to know what the community thinks about these plugins. I would want to know the average rating, and how many people have submitted ratings, just like you would see on many ecommerce or social sites.
There are obviously some big prerequisites for this, like an auth system.
