I want the dependency to be downloaded without version on it. I need this for dll file that is loaded in runtime. Is there a way to do it. Other than copying and renaming it.
At the moment there is no support for renaming libraries as part of the resolve process.

It would be nice to have it. I am not sure it is something can configured in artifactory so that *.dll , *.so, etc files can be renamed as soon as they are resolved. This will reduce the code in build scripts.
