Eclipse cdt project file generation

With the momentum behind native build support going full steam ahead and some promising support in place for the generation of Visual Studio IDE solution/project files, I’m wondering if there is either interest or an effort already in place to support Eclipse CDT project file generation for C/C++ language builds?

There seems at one time to have been an effort like this (the eclipse-cdt plugin), but it appears to have died on the vine.

What is the current status or likely level of interest here?

As far as I’m aware, the eclipse-cdt plugin is completely non-functional and should be removed. There are no current plans to add Eclipse CDT support, not because we don’t think it would be useful but because it’s not high on the list of priorities.

I imagine having Buildship fully integrate with CDT would be pretty cool.
