Jacoco coverage 0 when updating from 4.7 to 4.8

Something must have changed between v4.7 and 4.8 but I cannot find anything in the release notes.
I have updated gradle from 4.7 to 4.8 and suddenly the exec is kind of empty and the coverage 0.
What has changed?
Following the setup I am using:

Anybody an idea? I am kind of stuck here
