We are investigating new ways of building our software: currently we use make (all kind of flavours), most of the times with a big dependency tree (250k targets and 9.5m dependencies).
We use gradle in another project, in a more moderate setting, but we want to know what gradle can do with a big make-like dependency tree.
With 250k targets, gradle runs out of memory (java heap space) and with some trial and error we managed about 500 targets (java heap 8GB), which is way less than we expected.
How can we boost the number of targets and dependencies that gradle can handle with a make-like dependency tree?
Thanks in advance for the help.
