Hello. I’m a new user of Android Studio 0.8.2, and the first message of the default test app is “Gradle project sync failed”. Any hints as to what to do next would be appreciated.
To answer my own question:
Referencing Android L in Android Studio required access to JDK 7 (specifically JVM 1.7). Once I referenced that in the Gradle config, the Gradle sync succeeded.

Hi can you tell me what you mean by this? are you saying to add something to “defaultConfig” in the build.gradle file? I am completely new to android studio and I have no idea why I am being shown the error message that you had been receiving.
