“Content is not allowed in prolog” means that the content of the pom files is not valid XML.
I guess there is some proxy or whatever that delivers HTML instead or something like that.
Try to open the displayed links in a browser and check whether their content is proper.
And if yes, check whether you need any proxy settings that you have done for the browser / OS, but not for Gradle.
