Windows gradle 2.4 works while on Ubuntu it fails

I am using gradle 2.4 for a spring project on windows which works right out of box. (No Issues)

But installing gradle from a ppa on ubuntu doen’t works and blasts with this error http://imgur.com/jIow9WN.
