This is just a repost of my question over on SO, [https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51014327/nebula-release-and-bintray-plugin-have-version-set-to-unspecified](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51014327/nebula-release-and-bintray-plugin-have-version-set-to-unspecified)

This is not the same issue that I have seen elsewhere, where the version isn’t set in the pom and file name, this is the version not being set in bintray’s ui thing. I’m pretty much gonna post word for word from my SO post for this.

Using the nebula.release and nebula.nebula-bintray-publishing plugins results in the version being set properly in the file name, but not in the file path. The error message is as below

`Could not upload to 'https://api.bintray.com/content/[secure]/maven/Axon-Kotlin/unspecified/com/tylerthrailkill/axon-kotlin/0.0.2/axon-kotlin-0.0.2-sources.jar': HTTP/1.1 409 Conflict [message:Unable to upload files: An artifact with the path 'com/tylerthrailkill/axon-kotlin/0.0.2/axon-kotlin-0.0.2-sources.jar' already exists]`

_ignore the part about it already existing_, I am just trying with the same version number over and over until the path is right.

This is what I see in bintray.

This is resulting in my bintray versions not being categorized.

Using gradle 4.8.1

This turned out to be a bug in the bintray plugin 1.8.3. it was fixed in 1.8.4. I am still having issues, but they are just slightly different.
