You’ve misunderstood my request. I’m requesting that you apply the fix that includes the plugin, to your sample project. Then upload that fixed version to Google Drive. Please?
The community has helped you discover a solution. Right? So now you can give back to the community and demonstrate your solution by uploading the fix to your sample project.
Also, please don’t forget this other important request:
What is it about that plugin that you like more than you like Composite Builds?
Hey I answered your Q1, composite builds are not same as single project builds esp wrt Android libraries, that’s the issue. I will try to get my project working with the plugin or custom code (this is not something new lots of people know about this on StackOverFlow) and upload it.
The title of your post says „Multi Repo“. The word multi means the opposite of single. Right? Your sample project is not a single project. It is a multi-project. Right? Your original description of your problem talks about „multipleapps (android apps, each one in it’s own repo)“. And „multilibraries, repos and apps“.
Then why are you now bringing up single projects?
Please don’t be offended. But it sounds like your inexperience may be leading you down a rabbit hole.
Let’s reach out to @st_oehme, @daz or @sterling. Please can one of you guys check my understanding that Composite Builds is tailor-made for this kind of problem? TIA.
@Lance? @jjustinic? @JamesXNelson? I hope you guys don’t mind me reaching out to you. Y’all are some of the most knowledgeable, most helpful members actively contributing in the forum. Each of you have tons more experience with Gradle than me.
I accept that the suggestions I offered @cloversai above might be overlooking something major about his Multi Repi issue. I’m reaching out to the wider community because I’m eager to learn, myself, what you more advanced Gradle users would recommend as a solution to this issue. Please can you share your expert advice on more appropriate solutions for what’s described above? TIA for your time.
But I grepped your sample project for that line and it’s nowhere in any of your project’s files from your latest download. I also grepped for just „gradle-maven-plugin“. Those words don’t exist anywhere in your project.
That means that plugin is not used anywhere in your project. So what do you mean when you say „plugin-integrated code“?
Please show us the exact command we need to run to generate this .pom file? Please? That would be super helpful.
You have helped me, @cloversai. I’d always been puzzled by why so many posts in this forum go unanswered. I had always wondered why the Gradle devs rarely engage here. This exchange with you has finally made it clear to me why that is. I’m grateful to you for helping me in that way Good night and good luck!
