buildSrc semantics tuning?

Why “gradle tasks” on the buildSrc requires the sources to be compiled ?

This causes the loading of projects in IDE’s to fail and can confuse new users, it should be possible to load builSrc and project with sources not compiling not causing the idea like Netbeans or Eclipse to fail.

I agree. This is one of the things we will sort out when we rework the buildSrc. We plan to remove the ‘special’ handling of buildSrc and make it a regular project.
