Buildship: how to reuse the GRADLE_USER_HOME established on the .bash_profile

(Manuel Jordan) #1

Hello Gradle Community

I work with STS based on Eclipse, I have installed Buildship version 1.0.16.v20160615-0737

I used to work with the Plugin from Spring/Pivotal, it in its own setting has the option to reuse the GRADLE_USER_HOME established on the .bash_profile, so in this way, if I execute any Gradle command from my IDE itself or from the terminal/console all the dependencies were downloaded just once in the same directory.

I did realize it does not happen with Buildship when I execute a task from the IDE it download the dependencies to .gradle/caches/modules-2/files-2.1/

When I create a new project I only can see the following:

Is possible configure this requirement perhaps in another place from the IDE and I didn’t realise?

Thank you

Hi Manuel,

since Buildship 1.0.16 you can specify the Gradle User Home in the workspace preferences.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thank you
